Glass Breasts on Tour

As I am sure many of you know by now I am an Advanced Breastfeeding Counsellor as well as a Glass Artist.

I am also a qualified Doula, Infant Massage Instructor, Baby and Toddler Yoga instructor.

But, lets stay focused on the Breastfeeding Counsellor area.

What this entails is that since 2012 I began training in the area of lactation learning.

I began by training in Peer Support.

Shortly followed by training in the next level of support which is Breastfeeding Counsellor. I trained with Cuidiu (an Irish based charity formerly known as The Irish Childbirth Trust)

Qualifying in 2016 I have ran support groups in person and online since and through my artwork have been able to reach many mothers in need of support around the world.

In 2019 I made a set of blown glass breasts infused with donor breastmilk to display in exhibitions.

The glass was my way of highlighting the importance of breastfeeding as well as raising awareness and sharing breastfeeding knowledge.

I am not just making art, I’m helping explain the significance of the subject matter too which is as important to me as the art itself.

I had spoken to a few organisations about bringing the glass on tour to various lactation events and exhibiting them.

An illuminated visual aid on display for all to see alongside key speakers who are offering insight into lactation knowledge

Sadly of course Covid hit and the plan was quashed.

But, from 2022 lactation conferences have began in person again and my goal for 2023 is to send my large milk infused glass breasts on tour around the world.

I need your help!

If you would like to exhibit these large scale Breastmilk infused illuminated glass breasts at your conference, I would love to hear from you.

Please send me an email with details of where and when the conference is taking place and we can make plans to bring the glass to you.
