WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

We did it!

On Monday the 11th of November around 7 pm we smashed the target of raising £12,000 on Kickstarter.

So, what does that mean.

In a Nutshell that means that soon there will be a new hot glassblowing facility in the Northwest of Ireland.

It takes a few months to get these things up and running and lots of careful planning.

But it is going to happen and it can't come soon enough for me.

Now the latest news is that those incredibly generous people who pledged for glass goods will be receiving their glass in the coming...

It all comes down to this time.

The next 40 days are going to shine a light on what I offer here in this small corner of the world in Northern Ireland.

(Happy National Breastfeeding Week 1 - 7th Oct 2019)

With its dwindling breastfeeding rates and lack of resources to support women in their most vulnerable time..Postpartum and scared.

My mission is to use my art to raise awareness around Breastfeeding here.

Shine a light on the magic of what our incredible bodies can do.

How the Hell do you launch a Fund Raising Campaign?????

How the Hell do you launch a Fund Raising Campaign?????

I've had this idea for months, maybe even years now about raising funds to open a small hot glass studio of my own to make the glass.

I suppose up until now most people will have assumed I already have a workshop of my own.

But alas I do not.

The truth is, if this campaign does not work then I have to stop making glass.

(Shaping the hot glass)

Since 1998 it has been my dream to build my own hot glass studio, but I honestly never really saw this as a possibility until...

The BOOB Badge (Supporting Breastfeeding in Public)

Lets start a movement.

Lets try to show the world that we are supporting those who are using their breasts to feed their children in public.

I have a problem with stickers that suggest you can feed your baby in specific public places.

I have a problem with these because they suggest you may not be welcome to feed your baby in other public places where this "Breastfeeding Welcome" sign may not be visible.

As a supporter of new parents I often see how vulnerable and anxious they are when it comes to nursing their children in public. Especially if...

Support for the Glassblower

Support for the Glassblower

Landing in London on the 29th of May with my best friend in tow.

Leaving my kids with friends for 3 days and hoping they are fine as this is the first time I have ever gone so far from them. A plane ride away.

I felt anxious for a few reasons , but mainly I was concerned about leaving my kids. Not because the people who were caring for them were not able or willing. But because that's how the mommy guilt is.. You worry.

All was fine.

I hadn't been in Central London since 1997. So it had...
